Back in Argyll after our adventures in England we’ve experienced the toughest swims of this winter. Storm force winds and days with icy wind chill and fierce hailstorms have tested our resolve greatly. However, we’ve been so inspired by the incredibly brave and tough swimmers we’ve met recently that we gritted our teeth, counted 3, 2, 1 and DID NOT FLINCH!!! Afterdrop has been a big feature of our swims this last week; Lottie has done some distance swims; Iona has managed 20 minutes most days even when temperatures dipped to 5.5°C. All this cold water activity has enabled both girls to fully indulge their huge appetites without feeling too guilty. And so we battle on, looking forward to sunnier Spring swims soon.

In contrast we’ve had beautiful calm, clear, sunny weather for the last few weeks and have enjoyed many lovely cool green swims.
